Policy for all Gatewood Teams |

A. |
At least 30% of each team's roster must be comprised of Gatewood Members. All Gatewood teams are asked to allow Gatewood members with the appropriate rating to play on the team first before asking non-members to play. Contact the Tennis Director to identify potential members.

|
Non-members will pay a $60.00 fee to play on a Gatewood team. If non-member plays in two or more leagues in the same season there will be a $30 fee for each additional team. This fee and an application form must be collected by the Team Captain prior to the first match of the season.

|

An additional privilege allows non-members to practice at Gatewood once a week with their teams.
|
|
|
|
2.
|
The non-member is only allowed to play during team practice times (one time per week) and home matches. Clinic and practice afterwards is limited to 2 hours maximum.
|
|
|
|
3.
|
All tennis team rosters must be submitted to the Tennis Pro for review by the Tennis Committee. Any changes to the roster must be submitted to the Tennis Committee.
|
|
|
|

Team captains must be Gatewood members.
|
|
|
|
5.
|
Non-member fees must be collected prior to the first match. No team will be allowed to play a match at Gatewood if any non-member has not paid.
|

|

Non-members may only play two fall or spring seasons, depending on which comes first. At the end of this two-season grace period, a non-member may join The Gatewood Club before the next season with no initiation fee. If the player chooses not to join Gatewood, he/she must sit out a year before being asked to play again on a Gatewood team.

Non-member play may begin three weeks prior to the first match.
|

Team practices must be scheduled with the Tennis Director and must be posted no later than the Monday morning before the practice date.

No more than three courts will be provided for team practices.
|
|
|

2. Team practices will last no longer than 2 hours, starting with the time of the court reservation.
|
|
II.
|
Policy Regarding Court Assignments
|
|
|
|
The Tennis Director will schedule courts for Gatewood home matches prior to the start of each season and will post this schedule in the Pro Shop.
|
|
|
|

No more than four courts will be guaranteed for any home match.
|
|
|
|

|
Gatewood members will be allowed to reserve courts for recreational play. Courts may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Members cannot reserve a court earlier than one week in advance. The court will be released to others if it has not been claimed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

|

A fifth team match may not reserve a court as a club member. However, if a court is available, they may put the fifth team on.
|
|
III.
|
Policy Regarding Guest Visits
|
|
|
|

The member must check his or her guest in at the front desk before playing.
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Guest fees are $10.00 per day, Junior guest fees are $5.00 (18 yrs and under). Guests are limited to 8 visits per calendar year. The guest fee will be charged to the member bringing the guest if the member or guest doesn't pay when signing in. Property Owners may bring one guest per day with no charge.

The member must accompany his/her guest to the tennis court. For example, guests may not sign in under a member's name if the member is not playing tennis with the guest.
|
|
|
|

|
All children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult unless participating in an activity at the tennis facility.
|
